Day Camp Information

Here is the "official" list of supplies that the camp staff requires each boy and strongly recommends each walking den leader bring with them each day they attend camp. From experience at camp last year, the items on this list are necessary. Remember that those attending camp will be outdoors, all day, in late June, so it will be hot and dusty (unless it rains, in which case it will be muddy), so water, sunscreen, and a hat are among the most important things to bring.

• Camp t-shirt (walking den leaders are not required to have a camp t-shirt, but may order one if they want)
• Hat
• Sturdy shoes or sneakers and socks (no sandals)
• Lunch, every day, unless told otherwise
• A snack (not required, but probably a good idea)
• Back pack
• Water bottle or clean camp cup
• Sunscreen
• Insect repellent
• Bandanna or handkerchief
• Poncho or raincoat
• Any necessary medications (epi-pens, inhalers, or other medications)

In addition, I show the following people as having agreed to serve as walking den leaders for day camp. If you are on this list and cannot serve as a walking den leader, please let me know ASAP, so I can find a replacement:

Also, for the camp dates itself, Pack 39 parents should drop their boys off at Mountain View Elementary, and those parents who are serving as Walking Den Leaders will be car-pooling the boys to the camp grounds. Walking den leaders will meet at Mountain View at 7:45 AM on Monday, and 8:00 AM on the other days. Anyone who wants to drop their kids off to be car-pooled should meet us there at these times (I recommend car pooling, but anyone who wants to may drop their child off directly at camp). Parents who drop their kids off for car pooling should plan to pick their kids up from Mountain View at 4:30 each day. For parents who choose to drive their kids, camp starts at 9:00 each day (plan to get there early on Monday), and will run until close to 4:00.

I also need those who are serving as walking den leaders to let me know how many boys they will be able to car pool to and from camp to make sure we have enough space to accommodate all of our cubs.
