Simple Machines are Cool!

Den 6 completed a really cool elective on Simple Machines (Wolf Elective #8). We learned that the simple machines are an inclined plane, wheel and axle, wedge, pulley, screw, and lever. We also learned what these machines are used for.

Mr. B brought several machines and demonstrated how they are used.








Then we saw a video of a man who is rebuilding a Stonehenge replica in his backyard using only simple machines.

Finally, the boys had to demonstrate moving a heavy object in a wheelbarrow! I think 200 lbs. is pretty heavy, don't you?
